BACKGROUND.

oh dabin was born and raised in a household residing in gwangju, south korea. though he was born into an affluent family, he had never been a joyful individual. the male's parents are admittedly quite wealthy and willing to give him everything, but they were not meant to be parents. his existence was a mistake, or so that was what his parents kept on telling him. they never planned on having him, wanting to enjoy life by themselves, but life decided to throw a joke their way, granting them the birth of dabin. their own parents would disown them if they were to put the baby up for adoption, and so they were forced to keep him as their child.

ever since he was young, his parents had always been extremely neglectful towards the male. rarely, if never, had they attended parents conferences. never had they attended his talent shows, his sports competitions, his science fairs. young dabin had always strived for his parents' attention, but they had never granted him any, other than the frequent gifts that his parents thought would be enough for him. and so, his belief that others' happiness can be bought by money still stays to this day.

his parents rarely provided him with supervision, and so he had burned his right pointer finger when he was three after his curiosity got the best of him, seeing the tempting glow of a candle. as his parents rarely provided him with knowledge, he was left to find things out by himself, by means of experiencing them firsthand. he maintains the childlike curiosity even until now, in which he tries to feed his thirst for knowledge by doing what he is curious of to observe the outcome himself, without stopping to think of the emotions of his "test subjects."

the male had always been smart and diligent, but his grade soon went downhill in middle school when adolescence and depression took over his life. the lack of attention that his parents gave him meddled with his own self-worth, believing that he is not worthy of anyone's love. he had always been envious of those who have a harmonious family, always had to fight back the tears when he sees his peers getting along with their parents. in wrath for his parents, dabin ran away from his hometown, having seoul as his destination with a bag of money he withdrew from his bank account.

hardworking was he, running jobs after jobs to earn money for university. eventually, he was met with the fruit of his perseverance. with his intelligence, he was able to be enrolled in a university and earned a hefty amount of scholarship as a psychology major, due to the curiosity of his own depression and his parents' discrepancy when compared to other parents. as he juggles both university and work, he was able to pay for his masters as well.

while working on his master's degree, the male was approached by his fellow classmate, an heir to one of a mafia group in seoul who believed that dabin has a talent for being a profiler. having nothing to lose and finding interest in said occupation, he jumped into the world of danger and grey morality and never looked back, until now.

hunter would most of the time attend meetings between black dahlia's mafia leaders and other groups in order to discern what sort of a personality they have, whether or not they are trustworthy, what makes them tick, what they favor, and others.

though he is trained in physical combat and weaponry to protect himself, his strength is in his knowledge and sharpness of analyzing others.

daisy, the man who wins his heart and soul. the man who earns his time and affection.

before encountering the younger, hunter would never have thought that he would fully commit to another and that he would ever experience love. but it is safe to say that he did, that he does.

daisy is the person that teaches him to love himself despite his dark past, and so hunter wishes for him to love himself as well.

renzo, his only brother and soulmate. though not biologically related, the pair claim that they are as close as one.

time and time again, hunter feels as if they are two peas in a pod. surprisingly, the pair went through similar pasts and can understand the other's thoughts deeply regarding such encounters.

hunter feels earnestly for him that the other's past death broke him immensely. though they had to reconcile with a rocky start, the pair eventually became inseparable.

eir, his mystifying drinking buddy. hunter never ceases to enjoy spending time with the other, among the row of alcohol that he currently houses in his dwelling.

conversing with each other in between sips, the younger had unknowingly found his way in hunter's heart.

though the pair is not at all affectionate with each other, hunter is aware of his inclination of lending the other a helping hand and a listening ear any time.

flavio, is a man of his past that he wished could be his future. somehow, the other had always invoked a feeling of affection to his heart. even without any physical exchange, hunter felt warmth spreading through him from the core of his frame when spending time with the younger.

an enigma is flavio to hunter. someone that he still has troubles understanding. perhaps, the pair had different ways of exuding and receiving love, but hunter had always doubted the other's feelings for him, when he was still so sure of his own emotions for the younger.
